About Wommadvice BV
As a child and teenager I had no real fondness for numbers. I followed a classical humanities direction (Latin-Modern Languages) and tried to study at the KUL for a year without success. Then, on the advice of my father, I opted for a degree in Accounting-Fiscality (Business Management) and the ball started rolling.
From a classic accounting office, SME, start-up, scale-up to an international company. For more than 17 years I could indulge myself in various domains such as accounting of AZ, cost accounting, credit management, treasury, forex hedging, management reporting and even HR.
Around my 40th birthday, meanwhile very all-round and still very curious about the business world, I decided to set up Wommadvice. Wommadvice refers on the one hand to Wommelgem where I live with my partner and our two children and on the other hand to “woman”. Wommadvice was a sole proprietorship for the first year and was later transformed into a BV.
I have already been able to do a lot of exciting projects that are mentioned in the references. Some of these clients even became permanent Wommadvice customers.
Since 2018 I have been active (part-time) in the social housing sector, in which I mainly focus on efficient financial digital business processes. I am very much looking forward to further developing this expertise within the sector, which can be called a niche, in the future. I am currently also working as a finance manager ad interim for a Belgian scale-up with a US office active in software for pacemakers.
